Yandex Go launches cabs for people with limited mobility. People will be taken by spacious vans with "SILACH" elevators
The Yandex Go app has a "Special" fare - for people who move around in wheelchairs. A JAC Sunray 4C minibus with a SILACE elevator will arrive within 30 minutes. Dedicated lanes are available for these vehicles, so the trip will take no longer than usual.
The new fare will be especially useful for people with heavy electric seats, which need to be fixed in the cabin. Those who use conventional folding ones will also be more comfortable: they won't have to assemble the seat in the van and then disassemble it again after the trip, because the elevator "SILACH" easily lifts up to 380 kg!
Before working on the new fare, drivers were trained and coached on non-standard situations. For this, Yandex together with the charity foundation "House with Lighthouse" and the nonprofit organization "Equal Opportunity Space" developed an educational program for them. In addition, the service will not charge a commission for such orders.
