- Before lowering the platform, make sure that there are no obstacles underneath it that it can rest against. Any such obstacles contribute to premature wear of the hydraulic cylinders.
- Upon completion of the work, before folding the tail lift, make sure that there are no foreign objects between it and the doors. If they are present, the hydraulic system may also fail.
- Observe the load capacity limit and do not exceed the permissible values, always observe the tolerances of the loading diagram. Any excess of these values, even for a short time, will lead to breakage of the tail lift.
- Correctly place the load on the platform - it must be strictly in the middle, shifting to the right or left can lead to deformation of the platform. Please note that the tolerances for the maximum load capacity are specified when placing the load as close as possible to the hydraulic cylinders, at the edges it decreases by almost 2-3 times.
- Even small backlashes in the platform mechanisms are unacceptable, their presence can also lead to a skew of the platform and even to its jamming. If they are present, an inspection and replacement of worn parts should be carried out.
- Do not allow contamination to get on the working surface of the hydraulic cylinder or into the bearings: both during operation and when washing under high pressure. Such abrasive particles significantly reduce the service life of these units. Be sure to monitor the integrity of the protective bellows of the hydraulic cylinder and replace it in a timely manner.
- During work, loads should be placed on the platform smoothly and without sudden movements, do not allow heavy objects to fall on it. Such errors can lead to serious breakdowns and expensive repairs.
- The equipment documentation specifies the operating parameters for the tail lift model. If you find signs of a malfunction, you should immediately take measures to eliminate it: independently or by contacting a technical center.
